Jennifer Stow

Professor Jennifer Stow is an NHMRC Research Leadership Fellow and head of the Protein Trafficking and Inflammation laboratory at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB), The University of Queensland. With a PhD conferred by Monash University, postdoctoral training at Yale University School of Medicine and an earlier appointment as Assistant Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School, she has led research in molecular cell biology at IMB for over two decades. Her group is known for innovations in live cell fluorescence imaging to study secretory and endocytic pathways, particularly in macrophages, where she has characterized cytokine secretion and immune receptor signalling as targets for understanding and controlling inflammation in chronic disease and cancer.
